Upon check-in, relax your senses with a one-hour spa treatment at the hotel’s wellness spa which focuses on nourishing your life force and helping you to feel more connected. Nestled in the Aravalli Hills, The RAAS Devigarh Hotel is an 18th century palace, showcasing the beauty and charm of old-world Rajputana with decorative styles and landscaped gardens. The ornate compliments minimalism to create a simultaneously soothing and vibrant atmosphere. Your sumptuous dinner will be served with a bottle of house wine, so that you may soak in the ambience and unwind.

Day 4Udaipur Unwrapped

Today we begin with an early breakfast, followed by a visit to Udaipur’s elaborate City Palace which took nearly four centuries to construct. After touring this imposing facility, you get to see Jagdish Temple. As one of the most famous attractions in Udaipur, this Hindu temple is a sensational work of art. Next, we will have lunch before visiting Saheliyon ki Bari. This attraction is a collection of formal gardens originally designed for the enjoyment of a group of women that accompanied a member of the royal family to the palace as part of a dowry. After enjoying the gardens, we will head to the Aravalli Mountain Range to visit rural villages, local shrines, and the tranquility of the pastoral countryside. You will then be transported back to your hotel to settle in for the night.

Meals Included: (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 5Udaipur to Jodhpur

Today we begin the drive into Jodhpur, another city rich in historical culture and royal folklore in Rajasthan. Upon our arrival, we will visit the Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. After passing through the seven exterior gates, you will be greeted by stunning palaces, galleries, and places of worship. A thorough tour of the awe-inspiring complex will see us into the evening, where we will check-in to the RAAS Jodhpur, the city’s first boutique hotel. A bottle of wine awaits you at dinner, where you can escape to the courtyard for a tranquil haven away from the flurry of Jodhpur’s old town. Marvel at the hotel’s intricate architectural carvings in the iconic haveli style of the 18th century. Similar to its sister in Udaipur, the RAAS Jodhpur has juxtaposed modernity with traditional design, to create a fresh dimension in an ancient walled city. Take a dip in the magnificent pool, while looking up at the Mehrangarh Fort’s looming presence just outside the hotel. The spectacular views, the stunning architecture and the breathtaking design awarded this hotel in 2008 by Time Magazine, “Asia’s Best Fortress”.

Day 7Village Safari in Mihirgarh

Today we have a special tour planned, one in the heart of rural Rajasthan. A land is nothing without its people, and so we celebrate and honour the folk that have lived on these lands for centuries. Our village safari is the renowned Mihir Garh’s signature experience, enabling guests to feel the pulse of this desert state. We will explore the little mud houses, the turban clad men, the shy and beautiful women, dressed in their traditional wear. To really get a feel for the place, we will visit the homes of the village folks, where we will learn about the land, the wildlife and the ecologists, the Bishnoi people, who are doing work to protect the surrounding nature, and the survival of native species like the Black Buck Antelope. We will also have a chance to meet the Raikas (shepards), the Pliwals (the Brahmin farmers), and the Meghwals (weavers).

Following this culturally rich afternoon, we come back to House of Rohet, a stunning fort-like Relais & Chateaux property, in what looks like an enchanting desert oasis. Their eco-conscious design, plunge pools, private terraces, and delectable cuisine all make for an indulgent experience of serenity and splendour. We will spend the night counting stars while dining al fresco.

Day 8Live like a Royal - Welcome to Jaipur

After a tranquil sleep, you will awake to a delightful breakfast. We will then depart for Jaipur, or what is fondly known as the “Pink City.” Upon arrival we will check in and stretch our legs with an hour-long horse ride along the river bed. Relive the royal days of the Shekhawati Dynasty, riding like warriors of old, on a fascinating trail along the river bed and the old shelter of Bishangarh. The journey will take you to the 500-year-old Hanuman temple which is located right next to an old dam built by the villagers to collect water from the river Madhuveni, the oldest river in the area, that once flowed along the periphery of Bishangarh village. Relish the fresh air of the Aravalli Hills, tour the organic garden that belongs to the saint who takes care of the temple, and enjoy a light picnic at a very old abandoned shelter.

Our eventful afternoon will be followed by a sumptuous poolside dinner at the stunning Alila Fort Hotel. Here, you will truly live like a royal, with luxurious rooms, a beautiful courtyard, and a princely estate. Perched on top of a granite hillock in the midst of the vast expanse of the Aravalli Range, you will be overlooking havelis, villages and temples, closer to the stars than to the land below. This legendary heritage hotel is a 230-year old warrior fort, one of India’s most unique properties. With sustainability at the forefront of the design, the architects embraced the original structure and its place in history, using its distinctive features to bring character and sensation to the new hotel. Local traditional materials were used in its construction, an attempt to connect the new elements with its original roots.
