Day 1 - 2The Ruby – New Delhi

Commence your cultural expedition with your arrival in New Delhi, India’s capital city and home of the Red Fort. Your tour coordinator will bring you to your hotel, a classic Indian luxury accommodation. Call it a night by checking into your hotel to get much needed rest after your international flight.

After a restful night’s sleep, your first full day in India begins with a tour of New Delhi. Let your senses be stimulated with the sights, sounds and smells. We begin with a stop at the Gandhi Memorial, one of five Gandhi museums in the country. Next, we tour one of the largest and most well-known mosques in Asia, the Jama Masjid. Crane your neck to take in the height of Qutub Minar, a 72-meter-tall carved stone tower. A trip to New Delhi wouldn’t be complete without a visit to India Gate, the national monument of India. Explore the other attractions the city has to offer on the tour, and delight in the architectural wonders, still standing, centuries later. Your evening will cap off with a delicious, traditional Indian meal.

Day 3The Diamond – The Taj Mahal

We begin our day with an early start as we make our way towards Agra. Upon arrival at the Taj Gateway Hotel, you will have some time to unwind after the journey and relax at the hotel. We will collect you at dusk, for a magical tour of Agra Fort. The real treat, however, awaits us in a garden by the river where a man constructed the ultimate offer of love for his wife. Laying between lush flora and inky pools, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Taj Mahal under a dreamy moonlit sky. Poetic to say the least, the rest of the evening will be yours to explore the local markets where you can find trinkets and artisan made goods.

Day 4 - 5The Onyx – Ranthambore National Park

Today the adventure part of the trip begins, with a drive to Ranthambore National Park. En route, we will explore Sawai Madhopur, a beautiful part of the national park known for its Ganesha temple. An evening arrival in Ranthambore will allow us to relax by the pool and enjoy a spa session.

Next morning, we will carry on through to the national park and declared wildlife sanctuary, one that has been an UNESCO Heritage site since 1957. Our Jeep safari will take us deep into the jungle where we will witness the elusive and regal Indian Tiger – a rare and remarkable sight. Come back and enjoy a delicious local cuisine at the palace.

Day 6The Opal – The Pink City

On Day 6, We drive to one of the most historic towns of India, known as Jaipur. A town symbolic of so many wondrous edifices. Observe the typical 16th century Persian architectural style of minarets, domes, and ornamentation. We will arrive in Jaipur by twilight, the perfect time to visit the buzzing bazaars for some evening shopping. Your night will be spent at a Heritage palace where the nostalgia of a bygone royal era is abundant.

Day 7The Amber - Jaipur

Start your morning with dopamine filled Yoga session with an expert. After you have fueled your body with a nutritious breakfast, a full day tour of the pink city begins. Jaipur is well known for its palaces and forts, a desert land of maharajas and their ranis, decorated camels and vibrant colour. Begin the tour with a visit to Amer Fort, an ancient palace just outside the city, known for its distinct architecture and elephant rides. Next you will see the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the famed Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds. Transport yourself back in time to when ladies of the royal court would watch the festivities in the street from behind screened windows, without being seen. We will have some evening refreshments at Nahargarh Fort, where the excellent vantage point provides breathtaking views of the entire city. Our evening will end in traditional Rajasthani style – a sumptuous meal at a village resort.

Day 8The Sapphire – Mount Everest

We will begin our short passage into Kathmandu by plane. After settling into the hotel, you will then experience an exhilarating helicopter ride high above the tallest mountain in the world – the incredible and legendary Mount Everest. Outstanding views and a once in a lifetime experience to say the least, this excursion will be one to remember. Returning to normal elevation, you will spend your evening in the comfort of your hotel resort, a welcome retreat from your thrilling afternoon.

Day 9The Amethyst – Nepal

Today experience what mountain life in the Himalayas is all about with a full day tour of Kathmandu. We will visit the historic Durbar Square, a World Heritage UNESCO site, The Golden Gate, an authentic open-air museum, the beautiful Kumari Palace, and many other temples, shops and bazaars where you will really get a feel for the quaint lifestyle of the Nepali people. Later on in the day, we will visit Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Nepal. Here, you can catch panoramic views of the city. This site has stood as a symbol of faith and harmony for centuries, and the splendour of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started from this point.

Our evening will be a quick tour of Patan, a city near Kathmandu, famous for its temples and artisans.

Day 10 - 11The Pearl – Kathmandu – New Delhi – Kurseong

Wake up to your last morning in Nepal, and take some time to explore the markets, at your leisure. We will fly back to New Delhi in the evening.

On Day 11, we leave for Kurseong, beginning our tea tasting part of the trip. Nestled in the hills of Darjeeling, Kurseong is a beautiful, quaint town surrounded my misty mountain air. We will check in to a beautiful resort perched on a mountain hill, offering some majestic views on the Himalayan peaks. You will be greeted with an authentic cup of steaming Darjeeling tea. Our evening will consist of guided trails through the town, and some shopping at local markets.

Day 12The Emerald – Darjeeling

Wake up today with an awe-inspiring view of the snow-capped Himalayas. The crisp air, the fresh scent of pine trees, and the lush greenery will unfold before you as go for a guided bird tour. We will then journey to the heart of Darjeeling, where we will have a full tour of the area. Back in Kurseong, our dinner will be a delectable, traditional tandoori spread.

Day 13The Jade – Kurseong

Today is a day of relaxation and rejuvenation before you begin your journey home. We will begin with a spa session in the hills, a chance for you to clear your mind and body of any tension and stress you may be harbouring. We then make our way to a tea factory where we will learn about gathering, processing and blending tea. Meander through the fragrant tea gardens and admire the astounding natural splendor of this revered tea region. Your evening will comprise of a hike around this gorgeous region and upon return to the resort, a nice warm meal is served.

Day 14The Quartz – New Delhi

We say farewell to the sleepy foothills of the Himalayas and tea gardens today, and begin our passage back into New Delhi. Here you can grab one last spicy treat before you head to the airport for home. With your pockets and hearts full of the jewels of India, we hope to see you again!
